Call for Nominations — Council of Representatives

Nom­i­na­tions are offi­cial­ly open for the URFA Coun­cil of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives (COR) — and we are look­ing for engaged mem­bers like you to help lead the way.

Serv­ing on COR is more than just a com­mit­tee — it’s a vital link in our union’s community. 

As a COR mem­ber you will:

  • Influ­ence pol­i­cy: pro­vide direct advice and rec­om­men­da­tions to the Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee on the issues that mat­ter most to our membership.
  • Bridge the com­mu­ni­ca­tion gap: Act as an essen­tial voice between the URFA Exec­u­tive and col­leagues in your home constituency.
  • Step into lead­er­ship: COR is a gate­way to the URFA Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee — as mem­bers are eli­gi­ble to be nom­i­nat­ed for key lead­er­ship roles, includ­ing Mem­ber-at-Large (Aca­d­e­m­ic) and Mem­ber-at-Large (APT).

COR rep­re­sents our union’s diverse mem­ber­ship across Cam­pi­on Col­lege, First Nations Uni­ver­si­ty of Cana­da, Luther Col­lege, and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Regina.

Details:

  • Terms are for two years (unless oth­er­wise indi­cat­ed) and com­mence May 1.
  • Meet­ings are held quar­ter­ly, ensur­ing your time is used effec­tive­ly to make a real impact. You can see the 2026 meet­ing dates in our union’s cal­en­dar here.
  • New­ly-elect­ed mem­bers will meet the cur­rent and out­go­ing mem­bers at a spe­cial meet­ing to be held pri­or to April 15, to elect our next Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee lead­ers, the Mem­bers-at-Large (Aca­d­e­m­ic) and (APT).

How to get involved:

  • Check below to see if your con­stituen­cy has a vacancy.
  • Nom­i­na­tion pack­ages were dis­trib­uted via email on Jan­u­ary 9, and you can also find the nom­i­na­tion form below.
  • Nom­i­nees must be endorsed by at least two oth­er mem­bers of their con­stituen­cy to be approved to the Coun­cil of Representatives.
  • Dead­line: Sub­mit your com­plet­ed nom­i­na­tion form to urfa@​uregina.​ca by 4:30pm on Mon­day Feb­ru­ary 2, 2026.

If your con­stituen­cy has only one rep­re­sen­ta­tive seat, con­sid­er nom­i­nat­ing an alter­nate rep­re­sen­ta­tive at the same time to ensure your constituency’s voice is always heard!
