Sessional Advocacy Committee

The URFA Ses­sion­al Advo­ca­cy Com­mit­tee advo­cates for and on behalf of URFA Ses­sion­al mem­bers at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Regi­na, Cam­pi­on and Luther Col­leges, and the First Nations Uni­ver­si­ty of Canada.

The Ses­sion­al Advo­ca­cy Com­mit­tee has devel­oped a list of answers to Fre­quent­ly Asked Ques­tions as a resource for Ses­sion­als.

The Ses­sion­al Advo­ca­cy Com­mit­tee meets month­ly to advo­cate on behalf of URFA ses­sion­als at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Regi­na, Cam­pi­on and Luther Col­leges, and the First Nations Uni­ver­si­ty of Cana­da. The com­mit­tee works to raise aware­ness of ses­sion­al issues, lob­by for improved job secu­ri­ty and ben­e­fits for ses­sion­als, and pro­vide an oppor­tu­ni­ty for rela­tion­ship build­ing between ses­sion­als, as well as between ses­sion­als and URFA

The com­mit­tee is always open to hear­ing from oth­er ses­sion­al mem­bers, and there is always an oppor­tu­ni­ty for ses­sion­als to share expe­ri­ences, con­cerns and questions.

All mem­bers of the Ses­sion­al Advo­ca­cy Com­mit­tee receive a stipend for their par­tic­i­pa­tion in accor­dance with the Ses­sion­al Hon­o­rar­i­ums Pol­i­cy.

The terms for posi­tions on the com­mit­tee are for one year — May 1 to April 30 of the fol­low­ing year.
