Call for Volunteers — Help us celebrate 50 years strong!

One year from now, our union turns 50 — and we want to cel­e­brate a half-cen­tu­ry of sol­i­dar­i­ty in a way that hon­ours our his­to­ry and members.

To make it hap­pen, we’re putting togeth­er a spe­cial 50^th Anniver­sary project, and we’re look­ing for vol­un­teers who want to be part of it. Whether you’re a his­to­ry buff, a cre­ative par­ty plan­ner, or just enthu­si­as­tic about our union, there’s a role for you. This is a great chance to con­tribute, col­lab­o­rate, and help shape a mile­stone moment we can all be proud of.

We are seek­ing rep­re­sen­ta­tion from all of URFA’s bar­gain­ing units for this project — Cam­pi­on mem­bers, First Nations Uni­ver­si­ty of Cana­da mem­bers, Luther mem­bers, and Uni­ver­si­ty of Regi­na mem­bers are all invit­ed to con­tribute in a way that feels mean­ing­ful for your bar­gain­ing unit. We are also invit­ing retired URFA mem­bers to par­tic­i­pate in hon­our­ing the lega­cy of our union!

Our first project meet­ing will be on Thurs­day, Jan­u­ary 22 at 10 a.m. via Zoom. We’re start­ing at the ideas stage — so bring your best pro­pos­als to the table!
