Volunteer for the Grievance Committee!
Interested in volunteering in our union this year? Now is your opportunity to join the URFA Grievance Committee.
The Grievance Committee supports and enhances the grievance procedure — a process by which a member of the union, or a group of members, files a formal complaint about working conditions, harassment and bullying, or another violation of their rights.
The Grievance Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month to review, discuss, and provide direction on grievance files. Members of the committee are volunteers who provide oversight and help ensure that URFA fulfills our duty of fair representation, advocating for members in a manner consistent with the principles of natural justice and procedural fairness.
Having a diverse group of members from all of the bargaining units represented by URFA is important to ensure many perspectives are reflected during the grievance process.
Volunteers are currently needed from the following constituencies:
- 1 from University of Regina — Academic (term ends April 30, 2028)
- 1 from University of Regina — Academic (term ends April 30, 2029)
