We need your voice on the Council of Representatives!

The call for nom­i­na­tions for the URFA Coun­cil of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives was issued on Jan­u­ary 6, 2022, and closed on Feb­ru­ary 1, 2022. 

There are still sev­er­al vacan­cies on the Coun­cil, so we are issu­ing anoth­er call for vol­un­teers who would like to get involved and rep­re­sent their constituency.

The Coun­cil of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives (COR):

  • pro­vides pol­i­cy advice and rec­om­men­da­tions to the Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee of URFA
  • is an impor­tant part of the demo­c­ra­t­ic gov­er­nance of URFA
  • is com­prised of mem­bers from var­i­ous areas at Cam­pi­on Col­lege, First Nations Uni­ver­si­ty of Cana­da, Luther Col­lege and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Regina

The details:

Meet­ings of the Coun­cil of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives (COR) are held at least four times per year.

The terms for all COR mem­bers will com­mence May 1. How­ev­er, one meet­ing will be held on or before April 15 to elect the fol­low­ing Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee mem­bers: Mem­ber at Large (Aca­d­e­m­ic), Mem­ber at Large (APT), and Equi­ty Officer.

Accord­ing to the URFA Con­sti­tu­tion and Bylaws, the above vacan­cies on COR may be filled by appoint­ment by the Exec­u­tive Committee.
