Elec­tions for eli­gi­ble posi­tions on URFA’s Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee will take place fol­low­ing the URFA 2023 Spring Gen­er­al Mem­ber­ship Meet­ing.

This year, elec­tions will take place for the posi­tion of:

Can­di­date: Roz Kelsey — Biography

Roz Kelsey (PhD) is an assis­tant pro­fes­sor in the fac­ul­ty of Kine­si­ol­o­gy and Health Stud­ies. She lives and works here in Treaty 4 ter­ri­to­ry and has strong famil­ial ties in Treaty 8 as well as in New Brunswick, home of the Wolas­to­qiyik and Maliseet.

Her teach­ing and research focus on anti-vio­lence and anti-oppres­sive edu­ca­tion. Roz is a tenured URFA mem­ber with over 20 years of full­time ser­vice at the U of R. She has served on the URFA Coun­cil of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives for a total of five years.

Roz believes strong­ly in the labour move­ment. She is com­mit­ted to main­tain­ing equi­ty and enhanc­ing the qual­i­ty of our high­er edu­ca­tion systems.
