URFA shares message of international solidarity on academic freedom with AAUP

URFA has sent a letter of solidarity on academic freedom to the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) in support of their struggle to resist the attacks on post-secondary institutional autonomy and academic freedom currently happening in the United States.

Attacks on academic freedom are happening on our neighbours to the south, as well as here in Canada. It’s fundamentally important that we stand together to defend the autonomy of our universities, the diversity of voices in post-secondary, and the rights of workers as they pursue the advancement of knowledge, research, and the education of the next generation of critical thinkers,” said URFA President Britt Hall.
