3 Ways to Celebrate Pride With URFA

It’s almost Pride Month — and we’ve got three ways for you to get involved in our union’s Pride cel­e­bra­tions this year!

#1 March with URFA at the Queen City Pride Parade 📢

Our union will be march­ing in the Queen City Pride Parade on Sat­ur­day June 12 and we would love to see you there! Every­one is wel­come — 2SLGBTQIA+ mem­bers, allies, fam­i­ly, and kids are all wel­come to join our del­e­ga­tion.

The parade begins at 12:00 p.m and marchers will need to arrive around 11 a.m. to find your place in line. Details on where to meet will be sent to every­one who RSVPs.

This year, URFA will also have a vehi­cle in the parade, which means we have a cou­ple of seats avail­able for mem­bers who want to par­tic­i­pate but need mobil­i­ty sup­port. Please let us know in your RSVP if this is you!

RSVP for the parade by email­ing urfa@​uregina.​ca with your name, cell phone #, and the num­ber of oth­er peo­ple you’re bring­ing with you!

#2 Make Your Cus­tom Sign and But­ton at a Sign-Mak­ing Ses­sion 🌈

Want to make a sign or but­ton to show your sup­port dur­ing Pride Month or at the Parade? Every­one is wel­come!

Join us out­side the Archer Library & Archives on Tues­day June 9 and Thurs­day June 11 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to make your own cus­tom Pride swag! Our but­ton mak­er will be there — and we’ll have plen­ty of colour­ful sign-mak­ing sup­plies.

While no RSVP is nec­es­sary, we do appre­ci­ate you let­ting us know if you’re com­ing so we can have enough sup­plies for every­one. Email urfa@​uregina.​ca if you plan to join us.

Show your pride or ally­ship online all month with one of URFA’s 2026 Pride Zoom Back­grounds — use them dur­ing meet­ings, events, and any time you want to show your Pride.
